Hi

Great website :)

Looking forward to uncovering our common ancestor soon. DNA doesn't lie!

Brian

Admin reply: Thanks for your message, Brian. I will reply via email a bit later on but I can confirm the match is on my dad's side of the family. Please take a look at my pedigree chart at http://www.hibbitt.org.uk/reports/annies-ancestors.pdf

I think your Staffordshire ancestry is probably the best place to begin looking.

I'll be in touch again.

Annie

This is the 2nd time I have visited your Blog & Other Information, I have spent more time today 9/28/2016 than at any other time and have found it very informative, I could spend an entire day here!. I thank you for putting this together, you have done a great job of it. I like the way you have organized your pages and Information. I hale from the Roylance's of (going backwards) Stockport, Knutsford, Peover & Butterworth. My Direct Connections are within the UK. All Roylance's here in the USA are Distant Cousins. :!cool:

I've just found your website while searching for my Newbold family. George Newbold (b.1791) and Ann Parker (b.1788) are also my 4th Great Grand parents. Ann Newbold (b. 1828), my 3rd Great Grand Mother was a younger sister to Makala, your 3rd Great Grand Mother.
Great site and happy searching.

Wonderful site
We are also related to John Ibbot but cannot go further back. Our family moved to Cottesmore and my husband's grandfather moved to Sheffield.
Visit Exton if you can it is a charming place and takes you back into history. The prettiest road is called Pudding Bag Lane and was used in the film Little Lord Fontleroy
The church yard has many Hibbitt grave stones.

Admin reply: Thank you Enid. I've seen photographs of Exton and it's looks lovely but it's a long way from where I live.

Researching my tree and found your site. Amazing and must have been a labour of love. My branch of the Smale's originate from Sheepwash in Devon. Sadly my Dad who was doing the tree passed away last year. Now it is down to me to continue on. So somewhere down the line we maybe related.

Hello Annie, I found your website whilst looking into my 3 x great grandparents John Moore and Sally Alford. I am descended from their son James Moore. What a fascinating website, very interesting. Thanks for all your hard work, I found a couple of names that I didn't previously know.

Hello Annie, Just saying hello to let you know I belong in this vast crowd somewhere. I mostly use the HIBBETT spelling in my genealogy so I don't lose track. John Hibbett & Ann Tubbs are my 6th great grandparents. My G'father Ernest Branton Hibbett arrived in Oz at the age of 3 in Jan 1875, he was born in Derbyshire. He married his wife, Ellen Wood in Victoria, Oz, and had 5 children. He died on 1st Dec 1948 when I was 5yo. I am now nearly 72 with 2 children of my own, 4 beautiful granddaughters and lots of Hibbett cousins here in Oz. Keep up the great work. Lovely to peruse it all. Cheers, Dawn

Hello Annie I just wanted to drop by and thank you so much for the help you gave me at the beginning of the year. Because of this I have so much information on my line of Hibbitt's now. Should anyone else who drops by be looking for family in Barleythorpe,Oakham,Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire I may be able to help.
Thank you once again Annie.

Admin reply: Hello Sharron,

I'm so pleased the information was useful and glad that you've made more discoveries since.

Annie
