    FUNERAL OF MR. CHARLES MARTIN.
    The funeral took place on Thursday at Twerton Cemetery of Mr. Charles Martin, of 8, Victoria Buildings, East Twerton, whose death, in his 76th year, occurred at 9 Trafalgar Road, Upper Weston, the residence of his daughter, with whom he had been staying for a short while on a visit. The deceased was well known in the city, having formerly carried on the business of a builder and decorator. He had lived in Twerton for over 60 years, and was much respected in the parish. The Vicar of Twerton (Preb. H. L. Maynard) officiated at the service. There were several friends of the deceased waiting at the cemetery to pay him a last tribute of respect. The mourners were : Miss Martin (daughter). Mr. A. Martin (son), Mrs. Pointing (daughter), Mr. H. Pointing (son-in-law), Mrs. W.F. Martin (daughter-in-law), Mrs. A. Martin (daughter-in-law), Mr. G. Martin, of Farnham (nephew), Mr. E.A. Martin (nephew), Mr. A. Martin (nephew). Corpl. W.F. Martin, R.G.A. (son), Sergt. R.H. Pointing, S.L.I., and Cadet A. Pointing, R.A.F. Oxford, were unable to attend owing to their military duties. The senders of floral tributes were:- Fanny ; Harry and Ada ; Albert, Louie and family ; Walter and Maud ; Reg and Arthur ; all at 6, Harley Street ; Alf. and family ; Florrie and Arthur ; Len and Edith ; Nell and Harry (Newport) ; A.M. Gibbons and A.J. Davis ; Mrs. Barham, Gladys and Nellie ; Mr. and Mrs. Little and Olive ; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis (Twerton) ; Mrs. Peters and family ; Mrs. W.
