Hello, William free is my 6th great granddad so Robert free, your 3rd/4th great grandad I think it was is my 5th great granduncle.
Really lovely to come across your site, my Nan's mum was born a Free and I live where she had a caravan and was going to move to so it's really nice visiting the places I know my great nan has been to all the time, she sadly died in a car crash before I was born but I heard loads of stories from my nan and now my mum about her. Thank you for putting all this out there, can't read too sir down and read more

Hi we are distant cousins. Your 4x great grandfather, Robert Geake, is my 5x great grandfather. His grandson, Walter Geake (born 1833), son of George Geake (born approximately 1811) and Grace Walters, emigrated to Canada, where he married Margaret Suitor in 1861. Walter and Margaret had 14 children and in 1891 they were granted a 100 acre farm in Quebec by the government for having at least 12 living children.

Congratulations on the great work so far with the family tree. I am also descended from the Barnes family who lived around Newlyn in Cornwall. My great Grandmother Elizabeth Barnes emigrated to Australia in 1883 with her parents, Benjamin & Mary (nee Batten) and siblings Matilda & Harold. We share a common ancestor in William Barnes(baptised 20 Apr 1746 in Gulval Cornwall) who married Elizabeth Hampton on 11 Aug 1766 also at Gulval. Your branch of the family comes down through their son John (bap 19 Mar 1783) who married Ann Dawes. one of his brothers William (bap 31 Jul 1775) who married Mary Prouse in 1798 is my 6 x great grandfather. I have been researching the family tree for over 40 yrs & am happy to share any info that is of relevance to you. Regards Wendy

Hi. A really great effort on your Family Tree and websites, I tripped over them a few days ago by accident.
Robert Weaver 1789-1869 is my 3rd great-grandfather and your tree explains a lot about the names I have come across but did not know where they linked. Have been doing the Family tree on Legacy for a few years now but had an error with James Weaver/Elizabeth Billing which hindered my research into going further back but the Family Tree of Mike Franklin sorted the error out and now I am getting good results again.

Love the gathered info.
I'm descended from John Taysum & Mary Langney, through 3 Aaron Taysums, William Taysum of The Retreat, Stroud, Randolph, then Terry Withers Taysum, my dad. (Withers middle name was from Arlingham, Susanna Withers)
Further back, the first "Teyshames" appeared in Berkely in the 1570's
I would love to have the time to search further.
Maybe in retirement.
