John Dando (abt. 1715-1775) - Biography

Biography of John Dando (abt. 1715-1775) who was a hat maker from Dursley in Gloucestershire.

 

Includes a full transcript of John's letter, written in 1771, to the Countess of Huntingdon, together with the letter to the Countess from Rev. Rowland Hill in which he recommended John Dando's hat making services. Also contains details of John's children and a transcript of the inscription in memory of John and his wife, Susanna, on the monument inside Dursley Tabernacle, plus other sundry material.

 

4 pages, including a photograph of the site of the original Tabernacle at Dursley.
